Pebblemist's Steel Magnolia CDX,RA,NAP,NJP,CGC

1998-2011

Shelby was given to us by a co-worker when his family moved. She was around 18 months when we got her. I never meant to keep her. I was going to find her a good home. I guess I did! True to her Golden nature, she was a friend to all, human or animal. She was my first experience with hypothyroidism, but one supplement pill a day kept her energy levels good.  I didn't discover competitive dog sports until she was 5 or so. She was my first dog to earn an AKC obedience title. After a good bit of agility training we discovered she had horrible hip dysplasia. That kind of sidelined her from agility although she earned the first titles in AKC at the Preferred jump height. She was by far, the best pet therapy dog ever. She went to many nursing homes and put smiles on many peoples' faces. Always a happy and loving companion, always a smile on her face even to the end when that one last weekend turned into a nightmare. Never thought you could slide downhill so fast.

Ever Faithful, Ever loyal, A constant companion. Godspeed Snug-a-Rug!
