Pebblemist's Top Gun   CGC

1997-2008

Maverick was rescued from death row at the pound by a vet student friend of ours. We ended up as his new family back in 1997. He was 35 pounds, skinny as a rail, when we got him. His real weight ended up being somewhere around 48 pounds. He fit into our pack as soon as we brought him home. Despite evidence that he'd been treated badly in the past, he never distrusted humans.

His favorite pastime was chasing a ball. Over and over and over. If there was no one to throw it for him he'd just walk around with it in his mouth waiting on a willing person to come out. Then he'd drop it at your feet all expectant, like he just knew you would kick it for him. He never showed an interest in any dog sports, so he was just the yard patrol dog. He was good at his job!

He was a sweet and easy going boy. We never knew how fast he'd go.

I know there's a never ending supply of balls for you where ever you are now. We miss you Buddy, Buddy!
